This beautiful etching was done in 1899 by Sir David Young Cameron(1865 - 1945). Cameron is internationally recognized for his etchings and drypoints. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland and was associated with The Glasgow School. He exhibited his works widely during his lifetime and is most noteably known as an etcher, particularly of deep-toned Scottish landscapes, townscapes and city scenes. This etching is titled "In Stirling Castle" and is also known as "The Sentry". The etching measures 8x3 inches in size.
