Doune Castle watercolor by Martin Goode. Martin was born in London and showed interest in sketching and cartooning from his early schooldays. He lived in Tillicoultry in Scotland for five years, which inspired his passion for the rugged countryside. 
His non-stop drawing and cartooning soon turned to painting which he continued to study in his home county of Essex.Martin's career started as a creative photographer, then a commercial artist and graphic designer. From the collection "Great Britain in Watercolour", by Martin Goode. This image is 7 inches by 5 inches (172mm by 115mm) He published over 2000 titles during his lifetime. Martin Goode sadly passed away on February 27th 2002 after a sudden illness.
