A Captain in the War of 1812. Dorcas McElvaine was
born in 1802 in Westmoreland, PA. John Glenn and Dorcas McElvaine had the following
children:

John Calvin Glenn was born in 1840. Butler Citizen 4/5/1876: Mr. J. Calvin
Glenn of Sunbury this county, ahs been very severely affected. Within a few
weeks past he has lost by sickness all his children, three interesting boys.
Mr. Glenn has the sympathy of the community in
which he resides and of all who know him. His lost seems hard, but is of that
kind that must be borne of Christian fortitude.
