2. Sir John Stirling of Keir and Cawder, Knight was born on 13 Apr 1638 in Ochiltrie, Scotland. He died in Mar 1683/84 in Cadder, Bishopbriggs, Scotland.

He was married to Lilias Colquhon (daughter of Sir John Colqhoune of Laird of Lusse) on 2 Dec 1675 in Abbey of Holyroodhouse, Scotland.⁽¹⁾ Lilias Colquhon died on 31 Dec 1726 in Cadder, Bishopbriggs, Scotland.⁽²⁾ Sir John Stirling of Keir and Cawder, Knight and Lilias Colquhon had the following children:

7 ii. John Stirling was born on 26 Oct 1677 in Stirling, Scotland.⁽⁵⁾ He was baptized on 1 Nov 1677 in Stirling, Scotland.⁽⁶⁾ John was baptized by Mr. Persone, Minister of Stirling. He died in Oct 1693. He was buried on 20 Oct 1693 in Dunblane Cathedral, Dunblane, Scotland. @NI47@

He was married to Margaret Livingston (daughter of Earl Alexander Livingston Second Earl of lithingow) on 6 Feb 1668 in Stirling, Scotland.⁽¹¹⁾ Margaret Livingston was buried in Nov 1674 in Dunblane, Scotland.⁽¹²⁾ She died on 2 Nov 1674 in Keir, Stirling, Scotland.⁽¹³⁾Sir John Stirling of Keir and Cawder, Knight and Margaret Livingston had the following children:
